The Challenge

Peter J Douglas Engineering Ltd provide mechanical installations and maintenance within the power, energy and industrial sectors.

PJD approached POD Exhibition Systems to provide a tender for an exhibition stand for use at the RWM Show at the NEC, and thereafter, to be used at smaller venues and trade fairs.

Our Action

POD use a very defined Design Brief Consideration document, and this enabled us to prepare visuals to suit the clients brief.

As well as providing the means to dispense marketing collateral, the stand needed to offer meeting and hospitality facilities.

The client was impressed by our initial interpretation of their brief into visuals, which after a variety of technical changes were accepted as the basis for a formal quotation.

The quotation suited the client’s budget and an agreement to proceed with the project was secured.

Our Solution

The final designs in Esetta included a centre section of the stand that could be used at smaller venues as a branded backdrop to be used at Graduate fairs and the like.

Esetta uses a totally modular branded system and the graphic panels are made from a tensioned fabric. This means the complete stand is sturdy, yet light, ideal for shipping to overseas events. The visually powerful graphic panels were illuminated from behind to create a lightbox header panel. The meeting and hospitality were created using counters and screens, also constructed from Esetta.

The front reception counter is modular for use at smaller events. The whole stand was erected by 2 men, with the handover to the client met without delay and they were delighted with the finished stand.

The End Result

This was PJD Engineering’s first custom built stand, with a considerable trust placed in POD as exhibition partner.

As can be seen from the photographs of the completed stand, they now have a bright, open and attractive stand that can be used at a variety of events and shows, because of the modular nature of the Esetta system that POD used to create it.
