Verathon Medical UK Ltd are the UK base for this global company producing ultra sound diagnostic equipment. The brief was to produce a portable exhibition stand to feature the GlideScope® Video Laryngoscope. GlideScope provides a consistently clear view of the airway, enabling quick intubation, and offers significant benefits to Anesthesiology, Critical Care, Military and Emergency Medicine markets.
As well as a rear graphic wall containing an audio-visual screen, the client wanted to have front-of-house kiosks, whereby conference candidates could see for themselves how simple the GlideScope was to use, by practicing the procedure on dummy head/thorax units.
The very nature of the intubation action presented a problem for a portable kiosk, in that candidates would tip over the counter whilst trying to use a conventional Laryngoscope.
A heavy kiosk would prove too impractical for shipping to conferences by the stand operatives.
During a meeting at our showroom with the client, it was decided that our Esetta system would provide the ideal product to supply a turn-key solution to Verathon. Pod Exhibition Systems produced initial visuals for the stand and a cost-effective quotation started the process.During a meeting at our showroom with the client, it was decided that our Esetta system would provide the ideal product to supply a turn-key solution to Verathon. As the client liked both the price and the full-colour visuals, Pod were commissioned to produce full working drawings of both the stand and the kiosks
A branded audio-visual system provided the components for a break-through in the design of the kiosks.
Using Esetta, Pod were able to provide Verathon with a sturdy portable conference kit that packed down into 3 small bags which easily fitted into an estate car
The client attended the pre-build meeting at the factory to test-drive the new kiosk system and after some final adjustments, a training day was set for induction with the marketing team at Verathon’s UK headquarters
For the Difficult Airways Conference at Nottingham University, Verathon chose to have the POD Installation Team take care of the stand build whilst the conference workshops were in progress.
The stand was up and ready in time for the candidates leaving the classrooms and on arrival at the conference hall. The candidates wasted no time in testing out the interactive kiosks – just like Verathon wanted them to!
Events Manager Lucy Martin-Davis reports:
“The conference went very well indeed – very busy but that’s a good thing – I hit high numbers with the leads and the stand looked fantastic!! Feedback from candidates was great – they loved the stand! 4 of them even took pictures! Really easy to use.”
