BioScientifica contacted Pod Exhibitions having seen a range of systems and designs in the Exhibition Stand Design Ideas section of our web site
After they had completed our Stand Design Considerations Form, it became obvious that their requirements were very specific:
They wanted a modular system that incorporated built-in shelving for books, that they could ship and erect themselves, that had the simplicity of a pop-up stand to erect, and would be available in two-and-a-half weeks.
Our first suggestion was the Vetrina Pop-Up Stand which is a modular pop-up system that can be ordered in a variety of sizes and can be linked together. Importantly it can have illuminated shelf panels incorporated into the graphics on which books (or products) can be displayed. These also have excellent transit cases that convert to podiums, and are simple to erect. Vetrina modules can be linked together by "ghost panels" to create a variety of layouts.
The Client agreed that Vetrina seemed to meet all the requirements of their brief. Thereupon, Pod Exhibitions used CAD design software to demonstrate how the system would work to provide a solution to the four international events they had booked for this year. Once a quotation had been completed for four units that would be used by BioScientifica and the Society for Endocrinology, an order was placed by the client. The agreed time-line needed to meet the deadline of the first exhibition was a tight one, but once both parties committed to the project, orders for specific hardware were placed whilst the client arranged for artwork to be produced based on the templates provided by Pod Exhibitions.
Once the graphic panels were printed, the stand could be pre-built prior to shipping, allowing for the illuminated window shelf kits to be cut into the correct positions. Because the window apertures can be cut in a choice of 3 sizes and 9 positions, the designers could choose a range of shelf units that ideally suited the different sized publications from the clients.
The stand was completed in time for the first show at Harrogate, and was shipped straight to the venue on the Saturday, for the client to erect themselves on the Sunday.
Despite never having seen the stand before, the client successfully built the stand and felt that they looked fantastic for their first conference with the new system and received lots of positive comments from visitors
Almost immediately after Harrogate, new graphics were printed and the units sent to shows in Stockholm and Phoenix, Arizona
