To create a modular exhibition display for a 3x3 metre space that whilst proving lightweight and easy to store, ship and erect (the first venue being a conference in Egypt), the stand needed to meet the following brief:
● A glass ‘ledge’ or plinth’ (ideally illuminated), that would allow us to place a 3d model of one of our systems on
● Space for/supply of a couple more 19” lcd monitors
● A company sign positioned above where the ‘projector stand’ has been allocated (possibly a lightbox)
"My budget is £8000 for the above, so I need to squeeze as much as possible into it. I also need an indication of the size, weight and number of packages the above would come in (so we can obtain prior customs clearance for the event) – also, can you please tell me how long (assuming 3 man setup) installation time would be?
Finally, please let me know the latest date we would need to confirm design/order to receive the stand components before our deadline of end of May (email dated 27th April)
The Client had seen a system in our Design Ideas gallery which they liked with a canopy ceiling that they thought would give a covered area suitable for a screen projector. This would showcase their Immersive Theater systems to a worldwide market
The sketch above shows our original ideas using a modular aluminium system. The client agreed to place an order with POD on this design, but on further discussion, it proved problematic due to the weight of the system and the cubic storage required
We showed the client a new system that POD are using called Esetta Modular.
This lightweight, easy to assemble systems incorporates tool-less construction technology, so that even large structures and frameworks break down into compact packages that are easy to transport and store. The large-format tension fabric graphics are the most cost-effective medium around to create huge seamless graphic walls
The client loved the look of the design and was very keen on the idea of cost savings with regard to shipping overseas. At the pre-build meeting where any last minute changes could be made to screen position and lighting, the client was surprised and delighted to see the whole stand pack away into just one flight case made from the same system
The stand and graphics were all completed in time for shipping after the Spring Bank Holiday and Global Immersion attended their conference in Alexandria, Egypt where the stand met with a very positive response
“The stand itself looked really stunning and we received a number of compliments from delegates and competitors alike”
