EXHIBITION STAND DESIGN SINCE 2001

CLIENT PROJECTS

SELECT A PROJECT:

Monte Fino Yachts
The Challenge

Monte Fino Yachts offer luxury, custom built yachts to a global market. In late 2011 Monte Fino UK approached POD to design and install a stand into the London Boat Show 2012.

The client gave us a very specific brief with the end result of the Exhibition Stand raising brand awareness for Monte Fino Yachts in the UK and generating sales leads from the show. The stand would also need to be used again at other shows overseas.

The proposed stand had to fit into a space of 8x6 meters with 2 open sides and incorporate an HD screen and lockable storage area. There also needed to be a small meet and greet bar along with table and sofas for customers to talk to the Monte Fino Yachts team about their dream boat.

Monte Fino Yachts had a very specific vision for this stand which involved large display plinths for model yachts which would be transported to the stand by POD. It also needed to replicate the features of Monte Fino Yachts global offices and, even down to the furniture, had to keep the specific Pantone colors and styling of Monte Fino as seen in their offices worldwide

Our Action

POD uses a very specific Design Brief Considerations document which the client filled out, this gave us a very good overview of what needed to be achieved with the stand. Pod Exhibition Systems produced initial visuals for the stand and a cost-effective quotation started the process.

We were then able to meet with Monte Fino Yachts UK representative to further this project. During this meeting, at our Northamptonshire showroom, it was confirmed that our Esetta system would provide the ideal product to supply a turn-key solution. As the client liked both the price and the full-colour visuals, Pod were commissioned to produce full working drawings of the finalized stand along with a final price quotation

Our Solution

Using the Esetta system, Pod were able to provide an 8x6 metre stand that replicated the Monte Fino image and offices to a high standard using Tension Fabric Graphics

One of the keys to realizing Monte Fino Yachts vision was to ensure that the model yachts being used for the event were displayed in such a way as to highlight their features whilst blending into the overall image of the stand. To this end transit Flight Cases were designed which also converted to Display Plinths for the models on the stand. The graphic panels in Esetta are made from a Tensioned Fabric which allows for a lightweight stand

This means that the stand was ideal for use again at the next event Monte Fino Yachts attend overseas, being very easy and cost-effective to transport. The HD screen was designed to install onto the side of the storage area which allowed good use of space and a high impact multimedia area in the stand

The End Result

The Monte Fino Yachts stand was very striking amidst a lot of larger stands. The overall layout was very spacious and replicated the offices of Monte Fino as per the clients brief.

The model yachts were safely delivered and set onto their Transit Cases cum Display Plinths. They looked striking set into the vivid Pantone colours of the Monte Fino Yachts stand. The furniture and accessories were put into place, still allowing plenty of room in the stand for customers to walk about without feeling claustrophobic. The Multimedia area created by the HD screen blended nicely with the artwork printed onto the Tensioned Fabric system

Stand set up was completed into London’s ExCel Exhibition Centre in a matter of just over four hours, this certainly surprised other stand installers as our team drove away whilst some stands still hadn’t even been unpacked!

POD’s client, Monte Fino Yachts, literally had nothing more to do than turn up, switch the coffee machine on and start generating sales leads!

The stand has recently been reconfigured and used at the Cannes Boat Show. Just as we'd promised, Esetta proved just the right system for shipping to the south of France - lightweight, quick to erect and looking like a million dollars!
