POD Exhibitions were approached by the University of Northampton, to provide a working solution for their 2012/13 Recruitment Campaign. The university wanted to increase their success rate in attracting prospective students to attend the University of Northampton.
They wanted to create a multi-media presentation that would be housed in the Library Auditorium, to promote the university and the courses they offer.
The system had to be portable to facilitate travelling to various campuses, be easy to store, transport and erect by members of staff. It also had to present the strongest visual impact from the limited space permitted. Each module had to be enabled to provide self-service information to the visitors where staff were not in attendance.
After discussing the client’s brief at great length, our sales team proposed drawing up a design based around our Centro system. This has always proved to be our most cost-effective modular system for projects like this.
Using Centro Theatre Kits 1,2 and 3, a design was drawn up to provide 8 separate feature modules that could be used as sepeate pods, or linked to create one large display.
The CAD drawing and subsequent quotation were keenly accepted by the client and the units were ordered from stock, the graphic panels printed and the system installed at the first event by our skilled installation team
The units are on permanent display in the Library Auditorium at Park Campus, Northampton, and have been extremely well received by both staff and students. A full extra set of graphics have been supplied to facilitate theme changes on external recruitment drives, the staff simply fit these magnetically to the aluminium frames.
The project has proved so successful that the university has subsequently ordered 4 iPoint Media Stands to enlarge the multi-media presentation, and 6 Promotion Counters for use around the campus facilities.
